British World War Cemetery
British World War Cemetery or the Memorial is one of the finest and well maintained monuments by Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Pune and in India that reminds us of the Imperial Past and also the Legacy of the Two Great Wars fought. Kirkee war Cemetery was created to receive Second World War graves from the western and central parts of India where their permanent maintenance could not be assured. The cemetery contains 1,668 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War. The KIRKEE MEMORIAL stands within the cemetery and commemorates more than 1,800 servicemen who died in India during the First World War, who were buried in civil and cantonment cemeteries in India and Pakistan where their graves could no longer be properly maintained. This total includes the names of 639 servicemen whose remains were brought from Bombay (Sewri) Cemetery for re-interment here in 1960. Deleteyou are becoming a fan I guess....are you? hai I had no idea about exhibitions earlier but few friends have suggested me after looking my at my work to go for an exhibition.
I might have to give some more time to it before I go for it. I don't think I have enough pictures ready for an exhibition yet.
But I like the concept of demonstrating your work, so I will some day definitely have my work displayed in exhibition for sure.
